Waves of Mind

 



I am not a prolific writer, but have been penning down my thoughts, my passions and my reactions to the happenings around me in the form of a couplet or two.  A colleague of mine, who seems to have the same set of thoughts, passions and reactions to the happenings around him, has inspired me to begin with this blog. Rather he is the one, who has created this blog for me. Very recently, he asked me to write something as the first message for the blog to begin with

Now the question is, what I can begin, which has not been there heretofore. I have been there since God created the life. I have lived through the ages unknown to this age. I have been leading through and have steered various paths and diverse faiths.  

I am firm that the universe has been in continuity and has ever remained in wholeness. Then who is to blame for the dissection, the dismemberment and the disunion, which we come across every moment of our life. When even a little I explore, I get the reply that I am the only perpetrator for all this muddle.

I divided the universe, I divided the land, I divided the water, I divided the airspace; I divided myself into races, into religions, into languages; and above all I divided my creator, the God, who in my selflessness seems to be the One only, but in my selfishness is divided into numerous. In fact when my own approach is unstable and my own personality is split, how can I continue to believe in the oneness? Not only the Universe, even the time has been and shall continue to be eternal and perpetual. Again, it has also been cut into fragments and I, the immortal, measure my progress with the tiniest unit of time.

Long ago, in the name of enlightenment, I deserted the path of love and compassion and moved into aloofness. But in the aloofness, I missed the very purpose of my life and this led to my frustration. This distracted me further and I started judging the people and my opinion for them was always fraught with scorn, hatred and ill will.

Our success as humanity does not lie in detachment, disintegration and division. Our entirety shall emerge into a reality only when we meditate upon the truth that we are the universe and we are the universal.

With the wish to spread love and the purpose of resurrecting the lost glory of the universe and its every minuscule, I shall continue to share my views on this blog.

The Transition

  We fear it the most, yet enjoy the most, None wants to get stuck, and also drained. Transition is liberation that comes with cost, This antithesis of guarded and the chained.   Life and death are perpetual and incessant, These crop up to switch us into another role. Waning and waxing, consistent and persistent, Revamped as parts; we are not the whole.   The shining Sun and the magnificent Moon, Work in shifts; help us to revive and respite. The Abyss

  This post is a recollection of one of the training sessions, I was taking on ‘Balance Sheet Contents and Analysis’ during my posting as faculty in the Bank. While even today, I have below average interest in the material things and the study about commercial subjects, it was the obligation of my job, which I opted solely to earn, to learn and impart training to my banker colleagues handling the credit portfolio. During the session, I was differentiating between the tangible and the intangible assets appearing in the balance sheet. All actions of ours, which are a part of our active life, are based on certain assumptions and directed towards certain expectations. But life itself is espousing and embracing something worthwhile or say worthless, sans any speculations or guesswork and probabilities or prospects. It is a resonant and yet detached journey on virgin trails, taking us to our illusions, the biggest of which is our desire to seek immortality among the mortals. Maintain Margin and Create Happiness – Give 115% and Expect 85%

  In this piece, I mean by ‘margin’ not the boundary or brim. Instead, here the word is used for surplus, spare or standby to provide contentment to self and relief to others. The cheerfulness and the sprightliness, which are its most basic characteristic, require some space, some pause and some tolerance in every facet of our life. After all we are not destined to be robotic. We have to have the essential emotions in order to satiate our craving for recognition, adoration and exhilaration, which are nothing but reflections of our daily provisions. Perfection is the stage, which is the least planned for the human, since precision is nothing but rigidity and the rigidity is an antithesis of clemency, the quality that makes the human, ‘humane’.
